My Vote Counts! The Citizens’ Initiative processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide it to us yourself. Below is an overview of the personal data we process:

  • First and last name
  • Date of birth
  • Address details
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Bank account number

Special and/or sensitive personal data we process
Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data about website visitors who are younger than 16 years old, unless they have permission from parents or a guardian. However, we cannot check whether a visitor is older than 16. We therefore recommend that parents be involved in their children’s online activities, in order to prevent data about children from being collected without parental consent. If you believe that we have collected personal data about a minor without that consent, please contact us at info@nl.mijnstemtelt-network.local, and we will remove this information.

The purpose and legal basis for our processing of personal data
My Vote Counts! The Citizens’ Initiative processes your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Handling your payment
  • Sending our newsletter and/or promotional flyer
  • Being able to call or email you if this is necessary to carry out our services

How long we retain personal data
My Vote Counts! The Citizens’ Initiative does not retain your personal data for longer than strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. We apply the following retention periods for the following (categories of) personal data: For as long as the person concerned is a member of our party.

My Vote Counts! The Citizens’ Initiative only shares data with third parties when this is necessary for the performance of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation.

Viewing, amending or deleting data
You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw any consent you have given for data processing, or to object to the processing of your personal data by My Vote Counts! The Citizens’ Initiative, and you have the right to data portability. This means you can submit a request to us to send the personal data we hold about you in a computer file to you or to another organisation named by you. You can send a request to view, correct, delete or transfer your personal data, or a request to withdraw your consent or object to the processing of your personal data, to info@nl.mijnstemtelt-network.local. To make sure the request for access was made by you, we ask you to include a copy of your ID with the request. In this copy, please black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and citizen service number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. We respond as quickly as possible, but within four weeks, to your request. My Vote Counts! How we secure personal data
My Vote Counts! The Citizens’ Initiative takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised alteration. If you feel your data is not adequately secured, or there are indications of misuse, please contact our customer service or via info@nl.mijnstemtelt-network.local
